Treats

Pasha and I don't have a lot of unnatural sugar in the home, we do have it but we are trying to go towards the more natural sugars, hence going to Starbucks every now and again is okay. Winter months come and Nastya has the hot coca and I get a hot coffee in the summer we both get frappucinos but one with and the other without coffee.

Mother Earth

I promise that these are not fake, they are big and real leaves.

Nature is so beautiful sometimes I forget it is even real. It seems as if I painted the sky to have the clouds positioned to be as such.

Sewing Adventures

Pasha purchased a sewing machine for my birthday and I have started a few projects and finished others but I am on a mission to do what I want.

Pure Evilness

My worst nightmare came true and that was for my soy allergy to become worse. I particularly don't have it too severe. I don't need to have an Epi pen but I do have side effects that are not pretty. Since my allergy has become increasingly worse I started making more and more of our meals from scratch. One thing we started to make is home-made pizza.

I also got a Pineapple Guava from a friend and it is amazing. Its texture is that of a pear, the taste of a kiwi but the softness of an apple. This fruit is amazing and if you can find it in your local farmers market buy it. The outside looks very weird as well but its amazingly delicious.

My Little Girl

Sometimes its hard to imagine that my baby girl is 3. She is a living breathing little person who has a say in all that she does. Nastya loves, loves, loves nature and all it has and does provide. She loves the little things in life and enjoys what has been given.

Party

When I first found out that we were expecting Nastya I was not only dumbfounded but I couldn't believe it. I thought it was a joke or the faint line on the pregnancy stick was fake. When she was born I couldn't wait for all the fun to start. Now that she is three and has a personality of her own I wish life didn't go by so fast. She tells me what to do and what not to do; knows when she is cold or hot. It is a realistic feeling to see how she copes on her day to day life.

We always throw her a party, okay since we don't have many friends its more for us than her, but this year she had fun and I think is starting to get the hang of opening her gifts. We had a flower purple and blue theme. I made flower balls that came out very cool but a lot of time consuming work. I made home-made cake pops, chocolate covered pretzels, chocolate covered rice crispy treats and so on. We had a candy buffet and hamburgers and hot dogs. Since I am the only one who really makes this stuff for Nastya Some times an easy meal is the best way to go. I know that my in-laws are not fans of this type of food but it is just me making this stuff so for now this is okay.

We have a tradition. For each person who gives gifts we take a picture with them.

Passports

It is official, the Kalinyuk's all have passports and it is the coolest thing ever to see. Nastya received hers before her birthday. It was the best birthday present ever. Now that we all have our documents let this be the start to a new beginning in travel.

Both Nastya and I are American Citizens but hopefully one day we can both be Russian Citizens as well.
